I really like the Bo Bunny collection of scrapbooking products, particularly their scrapbook paper. The company offers fun collections and appealing products. They’ve been around the scrapbook industry for many years.
Their scrapbook paper has all types of different and unique designs. I’ve recently noticed their Jasmyne line of 16 patterned paper that includes floral prints, dots, woodgrains, stripes, damask prints, leaves and more. Take a look at the Bo Bunny brand as a new twist to your scrapbooking.
I have big plans for Thanksgiving this year. My daughter is an avid scrapbooker, so I’ve decided to design several Thanksgiving items for the holiday celebration.
I’m going to create personalized place cards to warmly welcome my family to the dinner table. Each card will be approximately 27/8″X2″ and be decorated in traditional Fall and Thanksgiving colors from my themed scrapbook paper. You may want to do this also for your table!
Genealogy, or the practice of tracing your family tree, is a great way to teach children about their ancestral roots. I started just such an ambitious project a few months ago on a rainy afternoon. My two sons had been asking questions about their family heritage with more frequency, so it seemed like a good time to fill them in. We started by naming all the relatives we could think of and sketching out a rudimentary tree.
After that, I dug out a pile of old photo albums and went to the attic to search for any old family paperwork. My sons retrieved some metallic scrapbook paper and began to create pages for each family member. We eventually filled in each page with photos, handmade drawings and small kitsch items that could be pasted to the paper. It’s a project that might occupy many rainy days to come.
I attempted a card today with a pop-out frame. I’m hoping that it’ll make the receiver of this card say, “Wow” when they open it.
Here’s how I created it: I cut a strip of paper slightly longer than the width of my card. My card was 81/2″ wide, so I cut out scrapbook paper that was 83/4″. I then stamped my image on the card using a stamp greeting, scored the paper, then folded both sides to the center, and punched out the frame using a square punch. The square image was adhered to the inside of the card, and I finished the front of the card with a coordinating image. Voila! It took very little time to complete!
Here’s an idea that is rather simple to create a card and let’s you use a variety of stamp sets and styles. You can use different colored scrapbook paper to fit the occasion.
Try stamping a background image using the same color of ink on the same colored card stock. This added texture makes the card stock look like a swatch of fabric instead of paper. It also adds dimension and interest, breaking up the blocks of solid-colored card stock on a card that is layered in three dark colors.
How many times have you placed an order only to receive it and discover that you already have the product? With so many exciting scrapbooking tools available, it’s easy to forget which products we already have.
I have a checklist to help me keep track of colors and accessories I’m still missing. The list is in a binder so that I know where to find it when I’m going craft shopping. The checklist also enables me to shop for coordinating colors for future pages that you’ll be doing.
Most of the stamp sets that you purchase for scrapbooking and use from your scrapbooking tools are high-quality, reusable products. They are so versatile and can be used and re-used again and again. You may buy a stamp set to make Christmas cards, but now you’re using it to make gifts. Because you receive several images in only one stamp set, you can use the same set for Christmas projects year after year.
One of the joys of Thanksgiving is expressing your thanks for the things that mean the most to you. I just attended a scrapbooking workshop on “thanks” this past week-end. We saw several great scrapbooking albums that centered around this theme.
We each made a small Thanks box using olive and mustard colors accessorized with a pumpkin and leaf image. We also included a tag of olive and wrapped up the box with a small linen thread of pumpkin pie. I’m sure to fill this small gift with something to fit the season and give it to a friend. I’ve included a picture of more ideas for gift boxes.
We all have many important people in our lives, and we want to express our heartfelt love to each of them during the holiday season. If you’re looking for thoughtful gifts to touch the hearts of friends and family, you may want to try the following.
Sometimes the best gifts come in small packages and a Merry Christmas gift card pouch is exactly the right size. A touch of glitter and other items from your scrapbooking tools adds sparkle to a simple design. Since the pouch can be decorated and stored flat before assembly, you can keep several on hand; you never know when you’ll need an extra gift during the holidays!
As most scrapbookers know, color plays a central role in scrapbooking. The right choice of color sets the stage for a scrapbook page, reinforcing the mood, theme, and message selected for each project. Be sure to purchase basic colored and also designed scrapbook paper. From the varied hues and patterns of paper, you’ll learn how easily you can create awesome color schemes with colors.
A scrapbook page using shades of blue, Caribbean, and cranberry can include ribbon, dimensionals, tag sheets, and a write journaler can draw attention and be a focal point, as well as create an atmosphere. So think about adding a monochromatic color scheme to your next page.
