Now is the time to begin experimenting with color from your stamp sets and pads. There’s no better way to express your artistic creativity than mixing your own dyes and customizing the look of your scrapbooking projects. Ink refills work perfectly for this technique.
So begin dyeing to create new and different colors and more interest to your album scrapbooking. There are some gorgeous shades out there!

The world of digital photography allows us to take many more pictures than ever before. Statistics show that millions of photos are taken every day.
Here are a few tips for taking the best photographs that you may want to include on your scrapbook pages, cards, and hand-stamped projects. Try to zoom in on your subjects and try not to include a lot of background. As you position yourself to take a picture, look around, and reposition yourself to get rid of objects right behind your subject. (More tomorrow)

Whether you’re a beginning scrapbooker or seasoned card maker, you’ll love having various punches to use in your projects. They’re so versatile and easy to use. Just decide on an idea that you wish to use and choose a punch that will go with it.
I often purchase a scrapbook set that includes several punches. That way I’m getting other items to include in my scrapbooking tools and more scrapbook paper and embellishments. Scrapbooking card making is simpler with a variety of punches to use.

When You Never Want To Forget

posted by GotScraps

You spent a lot of time and resources to create your beautiful wedding.  The church was perfect and the reception was well attended.  Even the food got raves from your guests.  Now, your gown is in storage in your closet and you are back from a glorious honeymoon.  You are relaxing on your comfortable sofa and reviewing the proceedings of the occasion. Wow! You never really noticed the beautiful tulips in the church or the bouquet of orchids you were carrying as you walked down the aisle. Your guests, weren’t they the most fashionably dressed lot?  Everything seems to have been just a blur then but all the details are coming back through your pictures.

Fortunately, photographers were working hard that day.  You have a lot of pictures and you decide to keep it all in a wedding scrapbook.  It is really simple.  You can buy a scrapbook kit that will contain an album, pens, punches, stickers, scissors and a collection of wedding scrapbook paper. Scrapbook paper for wedding photos comes in various designs that will coordinate with stickers and embellishments.  Choose your favorite photos and arrange them creatively on a sheet of wedding scrapbook paper.  Add a funny or sentimental note and some stickers.  Do this for all your chosen photos and you will come up with an album of memories that will be fun to review from time to time.

In scrapbooking, adding elements to our art that are interesting to touch and exciting to look at make our projects more memorable. Adding touchable texture and colors that pop-out create interest.
More often than touch or sight, our sense of smell evokes strong feelings and memories. Who can smell brownies baking without thinking of the loved one who baked them?
Scratch-and-sniff cards are simple to create. I’ll include the directions tomorrow, so assemble your scrapbooking tools.

I have used my scrapbook paper and other scrapbook supplies, and hand-stamped art not only to decorate my walls in my home, but also to serve a purpose. I decorated and arranged a darling, multi-panel wall art design to place by our front door to provide a perfect avenue to show-off my stamping creativity, as well as to keep track of photos, a calendar, and other important information.
A few well-placed magnets carefully scattered among the hand-stamped accents makes this art-show project very serviceable and adorable for me. I customized my project to feature images that match my personal taste and style, and chose colors that coordinate with the room.

We all yearn to belong to something that inspires us, encourages us, and lifts us to become better than we are alone. As scrapbookers, we are committed to living life with joy, creativity, and style.
Whether we use our scrapbooking tools, scrapbook paper, and other accessories through home decor and decoration, scrapbooking card making, holiday crafts, or album scrapbooking, we learn to balance the demands that we face as we live our lives in today’s hectic world. For me, I have achieved a way that brings satisfaction and fulfillment, rewards and happiness through my great hobby of scrapbooking.

My favorite thing to do with my scrapbooking stamps is to create my own die cuts from my scrapbooking tools. I’ll see die-cut accents in retail stores and immediately begin designing something similar using my stamps and punches. People often say that they wonder where I bought the design that I have on a scrapbook page and I tell them that I made it and that I’d be happy to show them how. The die cuts that you make end up to be less expensive than the ones you can buy.

I always love to bring my scrapbook album to workshops, crops, and gatherings with others so that they can see products that I use in action. A lot of the scrapbooking albums that I show are simple, yet impressive. I want others to feel that they can easily create a book similar to mine. I even find that the albums draw a lot of card makers into scrapbooking!

Howdy, partner! Mosey on over and check out a new line of western scrapbook paper and accessories that provides one of the hottest looks out there. The dusty colors and images of the Old West create an unconventional twist for that special scrapbook page. There are even punches that you’ll find that will match up like a cowboy and his hat. If that ain’t coordination, I don’t know what is! Speakin’ of wanted, y’all may want to check out this idea for a future scrapbooking page.
