Passing along family recipes is a tradition, so make it easy on yourself and purchase recipe scrapbook kits to create and pass along the tone and feel of your clan. Whether for your own use, or as a gift, making a recipe scrapbook is bound to result in a meaningful, personal, and highly useful creation.
I recently bought some vintage looking scrapbooking paper and a couple of recipe scrapbook kits. I placed my directions and ingredients on pages facing each other. Then used photos of my family cooking and eating to personalize the page. I journaled comments from family members on their favorite dishes. Finally, I used scrapbooking embellishments to jazz it up.
With my next recipe scrapbook kits, I plan to add variety by adding food and spice labels, decorative pages from cooking magazines, or clip art. I may also use some food related quotes and themes. Or, I may design some recipe scrapbook kits including recipes from the region where I live and give them as gifts.
The inspiration, tools and methods are as endless as the recipes themselves. So grab a few recipe scrapbook kits when you shop in your craft store next time.
Complete scrapbook kits are an easy way for me to create polished scrapbook pages when I in a hurry and don’t want to expend a lot of effort. But there are other things that you can do with these fun and versatile kits. I buy a complete scrapbook kit with some scrapbooking paper and some cord or hemp. In no time at all I can design cards with verses using verse stamps or stickers.
I always save any excess strips of paper for later scrapbooking or card projects.
I usually make several of the same card from each of the complete scrapbook kits, but end up with a dozen designs just from that one scrapbook kit. I try to use as many of the die cuts, paper, and supplies as I can. Then I’ll add the hemp, cord, or ribbon that I have later. My cards aren’t fancy, just simple and to the point.
So if you don’t have much time to spend on a project, consider purchasing complete scrapbook kits to get the job done!
I’m really into scrapbook kits for kids, grandkids to be more specific. I love the kits, because everything is there in front of them to start creating. My grandchildren are enthusiastic about designing scrapbook pages centered around themselves. Fortunately, I’ve taken plenty of pictures of them, so when we sit down they can dig into their project using the scrapbook kits.
With scrapbook kits for kids, the idea would lean toward simple and streamlined. The goal being to share memories in a way that doesn’t require a lot of scrapbooking tools or supplies. And with children, they want to get things done without wasting a lot of time!
I’ve discovered that my grandkids appreciate that shelf of scrapbooking albums even more than I do. They pull two or three of the heavy books down whenever they have a minute to spare, sitting on the couch, examining their works of art.
There are scrapbook albums of their school programs, birthday parties, t-ball games, flag and tackle football games, holiday celebrations with us, and summer days spent with us. They savor every minute and are so proud of the work that they put into their creations.
So yes, we scrapbook. I save and savor moments. I take pictures and collect lots of scrapbook kits for kids. I do it for me and for them, and maybe someday for their children’s children.
Scrapbook kits for kids are not very costly for me to purchase, and have provided some valuable time well worth spent with my grandkids.
My youngest brother is graduating from high school at the end of May, and I’ll be looking for scrapbooking kits to preserve the memory of this glorious occasion. He was recently accepted into his top choice university – which also happens to be my alma mater – and I am very proud of his accomplishment. With the help of my parents and his friends, I’m putting together a senior year scrapbook album that he can take with him to the university. Whenever he feels lonely or just wants a bit of home, he can look at the scrapbook album and be reminded of all the good times he has had.
Going into the local crafting store can be overwhelming; nearly everything I see I want to purchase! To avoid purchasing unnecessary items, I’ll be looking into scrapbooking kits. There are several scrapbooking kits that I’ve seen already that cater to graduations, so now I’ll need to make the big decision as to which one I’ll choose.
There’s not a better way to bond with your children than spending quality time with them creating a keepsake scrapbook page(s) using scrapbooking kits. Children are especially interested in designing anything that is about themselves and enables them to be artistic. A basic scrapbook kit contains all of the essential materials like stamps, stickers and patterned scrapbook paper.
Finding a place for children to lay out all of the materials from their scrapbooking kits will help to encourage their ideas and increase their creativeness. A work space for scrapbooking is also your way of telling them that in it, they can draw, write, sketch, or paint and behave as if all things are under their charge and responsibility.
By using scrapbooking kits, you are not adding any pressure or imposing rules upon them. Instead, you are familiarizing them with the concept of scrapbooking.
With simple scrapbooking kits, I’ve found that children keep their sunny dispositions and are witty, creative, and entertaining.
