We all know that scrapbooking involves preserving clear, crisp images on a page in a scrapbooking album. Here are a few tips for choosing the right camera for snapping those pictures for your projects. Do a little research on cameras that take great photos, select a camera with the right mega pixels for quality pictures, and one that has a zoom. You may want to try out a picture in the store and experiment with the camera before purchasing it. Your purchase will be reflected by the great photos that appear on your pages.
Things are moving so fast in this new digital age that it’s hard to keep up! For scrapbookers, we have digital scrapbooking. One of the ebooks that I own has gorgeous paper layouts with digital pages inspired by those paper pages. It also has templates and a freebie mini collection of digital scrapbooking supplies! There are also other photo programs with digital templates and quick pages. And the PNG files can be opened in almost any photo-editing program, where you can drop in your own photo and type in a title or journaling! What more can you ask for?
With this holiday fast approaching and the Labor Day sales that will be on, why not consider checking out the latest scrapbooking supplies that might be available? Halloween scrapbook paper and embellishments are so exciting and “spooky” to include on a scrapbook album or page. Along with the pictures that you include, the page looks very dressed up and an eye catcher for all.
Even creating a digital scrapbook page is an option. You can choose a scary and unique font before printing it out. Then select some Halloween paper, paste it in between with your pictures, include some embellishments, and don’t forget the journaling.
We’ve received an invitation from a couple who are getting married in September, and with our busy schedules and not knowing what to buy them, we’ve decided to purchase a wedding scrapbook kit for them. The bride to be is busy going to school, but will want to preserve that wedding day later on when she has time and what better way than with a scrapbook.
Whether it be a digital software or craft store kit, they are the best way to go, especially for someone who’s just scrapbooking one project. I sometimes use them when I don’t have a lot of time available to complete a particular design. Consider this idea as an option when you feel stressed about getting that next project finished!
Once a week my girlfriends and I will get together and have a scrapbooking party. We enjoy just talking about our kids and viewing each other’s work. It is always interesting to see what new and creative ideas and machines my friends find.
A couple of my friends found cricut machines. It was so interesting what you can do with them. You can create die cuts. You can also change the cartridge to change the size of your picture or words that you want to use. It was such a creative way to add to our pictures. It added a little something extra to our pages. What a great find.
Kids are so much fun when they’re little. I take so many pictures of my kids–it’s ridiculous! My favorite pastime is scrapbooking. And my goal is to make each one of my kids a scrapbook containing pictures of all of their best memories. In addition to pictures, I also thought it would be nice to include some other memories.
When kids learn how to talk, they say the cutest things. I wanted to keep these special memories forever, so I bought a digital voice recorder to make sure I would always remember what my kids sounded like when they were little. Thanks to innovative new technologies, I can now juxtapose these audio clips with images through digital scrapbooking.
